It was a great Pol Roger final between 13 gentlemen and Lea.
A great match played in wonderful spirit and complete enthusiasm.
Queens won 3/1 when the prizes were distributed and everybody imbibed in your wonderful champagne. It was a great day and your and Pol Rogers praises were sung to the rafters of our ancient court.
All the players stayed after the presentation for the dead rubber to support their team mates in the last singles.
Thank you to James Simpson of Pol Roger. Nick Wood gave a speech before the prize giving extolling Pol Roger and all you do for the game. Every sentence was met with tumultuous applause and appreciation… glasses in hand.
A great final to the Pol Roger Inter Club Tournament.
