Peter Wright the successful GB Over 50s captain and Over 50s singles champion at the World Masters Amateur Championship in Paris in May won the British Over 50s Amateur Championships at Lords on 20 November thereby winning the Bridgeman Cup for the fourth consecutive time. Peter beat Simon Barker, winner of the World Masters Over 55s Singles in May, and David Watson, a five times former winner of the British Over 50s, in two high quality matches. Only the late Colin Dean recorded more consecutive wins than Peter has achieved so far.
Sidney Yankson won the plate on his first appearance in this competition.
