Interschool Singles Championship 2023 took place on the 26th of November at Radley.
Henry Henman bt Laszlo Garson 6/1 6/0 in the final.
Henry Henman (MCS – and fresh from qualifying for the British Open and taking a set off the World Champion at doubles – and a Radley club member!) won a very comfortable final 6/1 6/0 over Laszlo Garson (Radley), the National U14 and U16 champion. Laszlo had done well to reach this play-off final by beating his own elder brother, Ambrose (Radley) in the inter-group final. Hugo Acheson-Gray (Radley) had rather sabotaged his own chances by losing 5/6 to Joseph Bradley (Oratory) from a 5-1 lead, despite beating both Ambrose Garson and Theo Henman. As a result, Ambrose won the group on game average. Laszlo won Group B, negotiating wins over Rory Acheson-Gray (Radley), Ethan Milton (Oratory) and Theo Besnard (Bradfield).
