World Junior Real Tennis Championships

We are delighted to announce that the bi-annual World Junior Real Tennis Championships will be hosted this year in the UK by the T&RA at Seacourt Tennis Club on Hayling Island.
The event will take place on August 22nd-24th 2022 at the Seacourt Real Tennis Club. The top 16 juniors (U19) in the world have been invited to take part in this prestigious event and play for the title of World Junior Champion. The tournament is once again being sponsored by the Dedanists Society.
UPDATE (Wednesday, August 24, 10:00AM)
The excitement is building at Seacourt, where the Junior World Championships are heading into some stellar semi-finals.
Top seed Trueman goes up against fourth seed Pridmore at 11:00. It should be a fantastic encounter, with Trueman’s all-round brilliance and shot-making vs Pridmore’s phenomenal speed, agility and recovery shots.
Second seed Vallat (Queen’s) will play against unseeded Henman (Radley) at 12:15. Yesterday Henman knocked out local talent (and third seed) Medlow, so will fancy his chances against Vallat. Vallat is steady and doesn’t make many mistakes…
There’s sure to be lots of great moments, all leading up to a can’t-miss final at 15:00!
UPDATE (Wednesday, August 24, 4:30PM)
Spectators watched some serious action during the semi-finals, which saw Vallet beat Henman 6/2 6/4, and Trueman beat Pridmore 6/4 6/3.
The action-packed matches were followed by a heart-stopping final in which Trueman beat Vallet 6/3 6/5, proudly becoming the 2022 World Junior Champion!
