World Championship Eliminators Dates, Competitors and Clubs Announced
The 2023 Real Tennis season is already off to an exciting start, with details surrounding the World Championship Eliminators having been announced.
Hot on the heels of the news that the brand new Westwood Real Tennis court near Washington D.C. has won the bid to host the 2023 World Championship comes further news regarding the much anticipated Real Tennis event.
The International World Challenge Committee (IWCC) has finalised the details and has announced that John Lumley will compete against Chris Chapman at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia on 22 and 24 March, 2023.
This will be followed by a competition between Ben Taylor-Matthews and Nick Howell at the Aiken Tennis Club in South Carolina on 29 and 31 March, 2023.
As previously reported, the challenge matches are set to take place at Westwood on Sunday 17th, Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st September 2023. There will be social events and sporting activities for the spectators during these challenge days, including a Real Tennis tournament and lawn tennis tournament.
