Wellington Real Tennis Court
To celebrate the opening of the new real tennis court at Wellington College, an unforgettable weekend of tennis and social events is to be held from 23rd to 25th September 2016.
The weekend will include :
- Welcome drinks party on Thursday 22nd Septemberin the evening
- Handicap Doubles Tournaments from Friday to Sunday
- Competitions in other sports, including rackets, squash and possibly golf
- Cocktail party on Friday 23rd Septemberin the evening
- Black Tie Dinner on Saturday 24th September
- Champagne celebration before the finals on Sunday 25th September
Costs for participating in the entire weekend are likely to be around £300.
We hope that non-competitors and spouses/partners will support the social functions (for which there will be a cost).
To help us gauge numbers, please indicate your interest in attending by entering your information here. The Opening Weekend is open to all but we believe this exciting event is likely to be oversubscribed. Priority will be given to donors and to those registering interest early.
Construction of the court continues to progress well; the floor was laid just before Easter - see photo below. The court should be ready for play in about 2 months’ time.
