The T&RA Introduces New Members’ Choice Award to be Presented at our Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony
The Tennis and Rackets Association is pleased to announce the launch of a new Members’ Choice Award to coincide with our Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony. This prestigious award will honour the most inspiring person within the Real Tennis and Rackets community, as chosen by T&RA members.
This year’s Tennis and Rackets Association Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be extra special, as it serves as the inaugural event for our brand new Members’ Choice Award. The category will recognise the most inspiring Real Tennis or Rackets player of the year, as chosen by T&RA members.
The Annual T&RA Dinner and Awards Ceremony hands out a variety of awards that recognise outstanding professionals and amateurs in both games. Some of the categories include the Maltby (volunteer of the year), the Warburg and Latham (best performance by pros), the Baerlein and Negretti (best performance by amateurs), and the Henry John (best young professional). The recipients of the T&RA Awards are chosen by our Board and Games Committees, which have deep knowledge of the Real Tennis and Rackets community.
The launch of our new Members’ Choice Award will for the first time offer our members the opportunity to be directly involved in the nomination process of an award.
The Members’ Choice Award will honour an inspiring individual involved in the Real Tennis or Rackets world. Whether a player, a professional, a volunteer or otherwise, this person will have contributed to our games in a noteworthy way over the past season, as decided by our members via a poll sent by email. The poll will be formatted with a blank slot in which our members can enter a name, and the T&RA will determine the winner by discerning whose name was given the most.

The recipient of the Members’ Choice Award will be announced during the 2023 T&RA Dinner and Awards Ceremony, taking place on the 13th of April at The Queen’s Club. Tickets are currently available via the button below; the purchase cut off date is Tuesday, 28 March.
