T&RA Office Manager/Event Coordinator – full-time role
The T&RA membership has grown significantly in the last eight months and we now have an opportunity to employ a full-time Office Manager and Event Coordinator. You could make a difference in both Tennis and Rackets; organizing top national events, including British Opens and World Championships (Rackets); developing an international handicap and ranking system; communicating with members and managing the data requirement.
The T&RA: The Tennis & Rackets Association (T&RA) is the national governing body of Real Tennis and Rackets involved in all administration in both games in the UK. This involves tournaments, maintaining rules and laws, running the infrastructure and moderating equipment. The T&RA is a charitable company supporting amateur sport and is known for the great attention provided to its members.
Our goal is to grow both Tennis and Rackets by developing young professionals, encouraging and supporting new courts and promoting junior Real Tennis and Rackets.
We believe in nurturing talent at all levels, at all ages, with both genders.
The Position: We are looking for an Office manager and Event Coordinator. The pay range we are offering is £25-30k per annum

Requirements:
- An enthusiastic and dedicated administrator
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Knowledge of IT requirements and ability to identify software deficiencies
- A good communicator, able to use modern systems (website and social media) to promote the core message
- Proven record of running a small office.
Useful attributes:
- Basic knowledge of HTML
- Image manipulation
- Web Content Management system
- Excel / Relational databases
Responsibilities:
- Organise and execute tournaments and events for both games
- Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of all the Board and Committee Meetings
- Co-ordinate and troubleshoot Real Tennis Online (RTO) and its associated applications
- Co-ordinate with sponsors to ensure delivery of their ambitions
- Communicate effectively with members, volunteers and others.
The Location: The T&RA office is based in West Kensington, London. This is a great place to work because of the close proximity to Central London, a vibrant atmosphere at the club, working alongside top sporting events and a very reliable public transport system.
