Neil Smith wins Pro Singles
Jan 19, 2009
Smith beats Hubbard 3-2 in Final.
Sorry, Partner...
Neil Smith beat Mark Hubbard in what was reported as an excellent game at Harrow School yesterday. Mark as current professional champion was the slight favourite going into the game, however the New York based Pro clearly had other ideas.
Mark and Neill will be playing on the same side in April during their defence of the World Doubles Championship at Queens Club, hopefully this result will not affect their relationship!
The game score was 15-8, 7-15, 9-15, 15-10, 15-8. Many thanks go to Harrow for hosting the event and to John Eaton for encouraging a social element to align with the weekend. Hopefully this can grow as a spectator weekend from here on in.
