MURTC Students Crowdfunder 2022
Middlesex University Real Tennis Club has, for over 20 years, been an integral part of the university’s sports community. With a diverse membership base of students and external members from many walks of life, it has offered students the chance to play a fascinating sport in a welcoming environment.
The team regularly competes against teams from around the country, and aims to continue this schedule of fixtures for the next academic year. A tightened restriction on funding has made this, at present, unfeasible, and so the student team are working on fundraising initiatives over the summer period.
The aim is to raise £10,000 for the team by the end of September. This total would fund in its entirety kit for the team and court hire fees for the academic year, and a team tour during the year.

Dear Members of the T&RA,
On behalf of the student team at MURTC, we would hugely appreciate your help! We are faced with the challenge of fundraising for the next year of student real tennis at MURTC. The club have very kindly been funding a lot of tennis, but the demand for tennis amongst students is so high
that we are now crowdfunding, to see if we can play more.
The funds we are raising will go directly on court fees to enable us to play as much as we can and, should we hit our stretch target, will help
us fund playing other universities over the course of the year. We also have a shirt sponsorship option, if you have a business that you would like advertised on our student kits!
Having had over 100 students on court during the fresher's fayre, we hope that this year's recruitment of new, young players will make this year the best year yet.
