Moreton Morrell to Host 2026 World Doubles Championship
Moreton Morrell will be hosting the Real Tennis World Doubles Championship in April 2026. The event will also include the (unofficial) world championship of American Squash Tennis.
Moreton Morrell has been announced as the host of the World Doubles Championship, set to take place 22-26 April 2026. It comprises two semi-final matches of the best of 9 sets split over Wednesday/Thursday, followed by a final in the same format on Saturday/Sunday.
The competition is an invitation event for the four top-ranked doubles pairs in the world, so save the date now!
"We are excited to be returning to international competition, made feasible by our world-first 'Bickley 2.0' floor restoration project," says MMTCC Chairman Simon Hobson. "The tournament provides an opportunity to see top level tennis in a wonderful setting - doubles is a dynamic format and excitement is guaranteed. The event will also include an amateur doubles tournament and the (unofficial) world championship of American Squash Tennis on our unique court, as well as a gala dinner on Saturday 25th."
