Farewell Norman Rosser December 1927 to October 2017
Oct 20, 2017
Norman Rosser passed away peacefully on 7th October 2017, aged 89.
Norman was a stalwart supporter of Rackets for many years being the representative of the Masters-in-Charge on the Council, before it was restructured, and later on the Rackets Committee. He took over at the Field from John Thompson as the Rackets Correspondent; he was one of our leading referees and he wrote up most of our main championships for the Annual Report.
He was Rackets Master at Malvern for many years.
He was the first person to advocate strongly for girls to be encouraged to play Rackets at the Rackets playing schools.
Norman was the much-loved husband of Myra and father of Gillian and Phillip. A celebration of his life will be held at Malvern College Chapel, at 2.30pm, on Friday 10th November 2017.
